That's why I don't run Linux, no drivers for my card. Very good point. Go for a better one with Linux support, if you ever switch or use it already, you'll be glad you did.

Re: Buying a new PC: Will BZFlag run smooth on it?

GFX-card: ATI Radeon 7000 - 64 MB - DDR RAM I have a Radeon 345m, which is based on the 7000 chipset, and it can run bzflag with the settings maxed out on most maps. The 345m is the less powerful mobile version, so I imagine the big one can handle bzflag just fine. Don't expect to be able to use an...

No I was looking for those two maps to host. Semtex created them. lol I would have them both already if I was the author. One was the old rings map and the other a later map I believe. I posted in two threads in hopes of finding both. And I did! Thank you so much guys.

Does anyone have a copy of the Rings/Circles of Death map?

Back in my early BZflag days there was a server that hosted a map of concentric circles of pyramids. The server was originally called Rings and then Circles of Death. Its owner was Semtex I believe. He hasn't posted here in a year. Does anyone have this map by chance?

Can someone compile BZFS in Dev-C++ or give me directions?

The precompiled Windows builds of BZFS on certain machines can cause trouble communicating to the listserver for global login. The exact problem and the workaround is described here: http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=3216 Someone made a compile using Dev-C++ (presumably why it works, different...

nope, actually all it is is /set _rainType particle. Also how to I set the 'range' for rainSpeed? The original effect intended (drops going up and down) would be nice to know how to set too :)

I'm not hosting the CTF map right now, there's another bug. If you pass to center the flag is irretrievable, or was that the zones issue?

Tropican8: please try 2.0.3b10, now posted in the "Releases and Versions" forum. Tried it, doesn't fix the issue. It would be great if this could be fixed before 2.0.4 is released. Nader's works fine, try compiling the next beta in Dev-C++ with his network lib and height checking disabled...

This problem appears to affect only windows users.. I have solved it by compiling my own bzfs. Jeffm2501 says it may because I have a different network lib. You could try it here : http://www.freewebs.com/wegstar/downloads.htm ...and that copy did not work for spldart ;) hopefully it will for you :...

Getting my server to play nice with the listserver

Hello all, For some reason I'm having serious problems setting up a server. I have everything in the config set up correctly but my server won't give the listserver updates on player numbers. Global Registration doesn't work either. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Also I've tried both 2.0.2...
