I'm on a mac, and am missing the BZFlag folder in /Application Support that has my config and maps, etc. Any idea as to why its gone? Seems as though its been moved or misplaced but searching for it on my mac proves useless.
Thanks

Re: Leagues United New Format - Individual Rankings
I like the idea. Now that there has been decent discussion, my questions about how the league would retain the significance of teams has been answered (it was the only flaw I could point out). I was skeptical at first about how the "team" aspect would be kept, but with all the discussion n...

Outbox
When I send a PM via the forums, some send right away, some are sent to my outbox and sent but on a delay, and some stay in my outbox and never get sent. Why is this?

Re: New Tournament Cup
real quick, and correct me if i'm wrong, or if I'm repeating something.
if the loser of match #2 goes on to win match #4 and play in the championship, that team should have to beat the winner of match #3 twice. it seems like it makes a win or loss in the first round pointless.

Maverick Upgrade
I saw jhs's post about the new OS X, but wasn't sure if our issues related, so I started my own thread. Since I upgraded to the new OS X (Mavericks 10.9), my lag has been crazy (as high as 2000ms sometimes). The lag issues did not occur until right after I upgraded to Mavericks. Graphic wise, the ga...

Re: PillHiX Map
Well before it goes up, I noticed the crowding just playing with bots. So what I did was remove the "X" or "cross" from the Pillbox map to open up the center. I also adjusted and removed some of the stockade boxes that surrounded what would be the pillbox bases. Too many caused u...

PillHiX Map
Hi everyone. This is such a simple idea for a map, and so easily put together, and maybe I'm years late and this has come up already. But what I did was combined the HiX map with a standard Pillbox map to make "PillHiX." I've been around BZFlag, on and off for several years, and so much en...

Re: Rookie Question
There is no BZFlag folder in Application Support, that's where I first looked, and that's why I was confused. And mahem, I did that, but again, it says ~/Application Support/BZFlag/~ but I can't find that folder on my mac. EDIT: Constitution, I found it. Thanks. I was in the wrong directory. Thanks ...

Rookie Question
Hoping this is the right thread to post under, I've got a rather simple question. I just got a Macbook Pro a few weeks ago that runs on 10.8.4; I got it for college. I've downloaded BZFlag and it works fine. However, I'm still a bit new to the OS X experience and I can't find the folders where thing...

Exactly. That proves my point even more. Just the many changes and effects it would cause the server is unbearable. From variables, to lag, to code. Unneccesary.blast wrote:You haven't even considered what a little lag/jitter/loss would do.

Re: An option to give the tanks substance and mass.
I think we get that blast.
And when talking about pushing other tanks, it also brings other variables. If your at x speed and hit a tank, then the tank will travel x units far. And in general, tanks in BZFlag cant move sideways unless on physics. What if you hit the side of a tank?

Re: An option to give the tanks substance and mass.
With or with the steamroller flag, running into another tank and blowing up will get very annoying. In a map like Castle Warfare, it would get way hectic. seems lik a bad mod.

Re: 3.0....
tanks, at least as i see it, can explode in different ways. On MW2, tanks are exploded quickly, with little smoke, and at a high circumference. But other map/servers have tanks exploding in a small area, slowly, with a big cloud of smoke that can distract you. And maybe its just me, so correct me if...
