I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of those images; the graphics are horrible! :( I think if you or anyone else were to update the images on wikipedia, the screenshots should be of a map that that has more than the default brick wall and green grass textures. Clicky [edit] I blurred the IP addr...

BZFlag 2.0.9 from CVS doesn't include autohunt. You'll have to apply it yourself if you want it.

You can get autohunt here:

Okay, the obvious question... Does the useless flag have any use? Sure it does! It's great for tricking people who do not ID your flag and thief it or specifically hunt you, just because "you have a flag." I disregarded your comment when I first read this, as I didn't think any sane perso...

How about auto-banning a player if he or she is auto-kicked for team killing two consecutive times or N consecutive times. So if player1 is tk-auto-kicked by the server, rejoins, and is then the next player to be tk-auto-kicked, that player will be auto-banned (N=2). But if player2 is tk-auto-kicked...

Just a few things.

These are just a few things I noticed while playing, which could be improved. Fog. While BZFlag does have options to render fog, all the objects except the ground are affected by fog, which makes the scene look weird (see attached). Shadows. Shadows are rendered on the ground but not on other polygo...

Rapid fire, tiny, narrow, and thief are usually my favorite flags, but I have favorite flags for each map. For example, I like to have the cloak flag while I'm playing at Louman's Mystic Valley.

Whenever i say "Stay away from geno," I'm just trying to prevent not-so-good players from jumping at the geno-holder, because jumping near someone who has geno is generally not a good idea.

Re: Compiling - OSX

I've just compiled BZ 2.0.8 on Mac OSX 10.4(.7) using the xCode project file. (it's pretty easy btw. but the documentation is sparse!) Yes? I didn't find that easy. I found it impossible. I failed with an error in info.plist. Did you simply start the XCODE file? I did so and it complained about it ...

Just so you know, there is a free think out called SizzlingKeys which enables you to control all aspects of iTunes whatever app you are in. SizzlingKeys does not seem to work when BZFlag is in full screen mode. CBG, that is for Mac only Strayer, I love this. wow. My little hack is is also Mac only....

It looks like autoconf determines if the host system is big endian or little endian. WORDS_BIGENDIAN needs to be 0 for Intel. bzflag/include/config.h /* Define to 1 if your processor stores words with the most significant byte first (like Motorola and SPARC, unlike Intel and VAX). */ #define WORDS_B...

Compile Intel/Universal Binary on ppc Mac

NOTE: I am almost positive this works without problems. I compiled bzflag for intel, and created a universal binary, but I do not have an intel mac to test it on. :? ANOTHER NOTE: This only applies if you are on a ppc mac. If you are interested in compiling BZFlag for Intel macs, or creating a unive...

I get this error if I use std::isnan() with #include "math.h" instead of
#include <cmath>. The old .h headers put their contents in the global namespace; the new-style headers put their contents into the std namespace. Thats probably all it was.

Matt, do you realize this patch probably isn't going to help you? If you used this at lasermania it would quite possibly block your view of other players at really far distances.

Temporal just get the 2.0.2 source and copy config.sub and config.guess from there to your 2.0.3 directory

A Monkey, it's obvious, SDL/SDL.h: No such file or directory.

SDL.framework should be in /library/frameworks. I used the regular release and everything worked ok.
