WOW.Speechless! I just found out from longhair just a day or two ago! Silvercat will be missed. I would say it is where I first learned to play. I am not sure since I am old and losing my memory. :D . It has been a long friendship and I loved pillbox (not the player :lol-old: ) map. It was probably...

The 'i' key is your lockon button, as well as your respawn and identify target key. You can remap it.

Hmm what does vsync do? I turned it on but it doesn't make any visible difference.
synchronizes your framerate with your monitor's vertical refresh rate. So if your monitor refreshes at 60hz, then you're Fps will average at 60.

I dont like this argument because people say the mouse is much better for dodging and at close range, but the keyboard is better for lond range. It all really depends on how long you have used the keyboard/mouse for. I always have and always will use the Keyboard as i can dodge at close range and s...

under 300

between 200 and 300, you start to see alot of shoot throughs

lag kicks are usually set at 300 -350.

for official matches, i try not to play against some one with over 200 lag

Different styles, different techniques... Perhaps a more useful question would be how you would play differently against a keyboard player vs a mouse player. I tend to think a keyboard player is better off in long range situations whereas mouse players would rather jump and dance around like a ball...

Re: hmmm...

Both sides of this argument seem to have misconceptions about speed. Both methods turn the tank at about the same speed. I use the mouse because it is definintly a more instinctual method of movement. However, I figure that the keyboard gives far more accuracy in aiming; when I feel I have reaced t...

I like to drive in reverse a lot, being that most players simply use radar. It looks like you're facing te other way on radar. They often jump right in front of you expecting you to be facing in another direction. Same here, if im above or below someone i'll drive in reverse till they make the firs...

you can too, tell if its a pyramid or not, just by looking at the radar, if you have the "Fast sorted" option. It has an altitude distinction via, diagramed by different colors.

Jack is right. The color will change incrementally, not as a block.

Actually, turning it off is only one thing that maps/servers can do: 1. There is a "noradar" setting for materials can can then be applied to objects. This makes those objects not appear on the radar. This can be used to conceal a hidden area or path, or to just improve performance with c...

my point is this: shouldn't there be tools so that a map-maker or server host could control the power of the radar? right now the only tool is to turn it off completely. adding some radar limitations as options for maps would be simple and could make the 3D part stronger and (more importantly) woul...

Is that why it is impossible to kill someone with gm when they are a second or less away? I've always wondered how that worked. the "lack of CTF" in a CTF server is an age old problem... I blame it on the fact that there are alot of massive 1 color vs 1 color servers. Hepcat, Overlord, LaserMania, BoxyWars, you name it... When you get 20+ players on each team, things are going to be massively skewed and helter-skel...
