The same thing happened to me with Ducati once. Just all in a sudden. I did a traceroute, and it turned out that the route hit a dead-end at some point. Didn't make much sense to me ... the problem cleared up after 4-5 days and all was good again. Give it a try and see. In Windoze, run this: tracert...

arrrrrgl! :? I take it back, sound is unavailable again. Even doing the same thing (removing the config file) doesn't fix it. And, I guess switching qualiy to medium wasn't the problem either. It's just that when I tried that the first time, that's when I lost sound. But now that it's gone again - i...

Ah ha! I found it. I removed my config file so that all was set back to defaults, and sound was working again. When I swtch the GUI 'quality' option from high to medium, that's when I lose sound. Perhaps this is a bug in 10.4 ---------------------- Thx for the help, orchid. I didn't know about alsa,...

Sound problem on Linux
Arrrg, sound stopped working in my Linux client :x It WAS working, but now sound/volume shows as 'unavailable' under the options menu. AFAIK, there are no other apps using sound, I have even rebooted and gone right into the client, but still no sound. The only thing that I can remember doing recentl...

Thanks, Grumbler. This seems like a good idea that should be discussed. It could be difficult to get teams to be 'fair' about this. A team with bad karma may become vengeful and vote negative to their opponents. Perhaps it could be left to a commitee, or the entire league to vote/assign karmas to te...

The only time that I can do it is Sat, March 20, at 2 A.M. Just kidding, but it would probably be difficult for everyone to come to an agreement on day/time. How about you (DB) just set up something for next weekend perhaps at a time-of-day that would be reasonable for most peeps, keeping in mind ti...

He he. Didn't know it was brought up before. Actually, after thinking about it a bit, perhaps it would be better to base it on a week's inactivity, as certainly some teams can't play every day. Perhaps -10 points if no match is played for a week. Meeting? Ya, let's do. We have a new irc channel #bzl...

DB: Thank you. We will still match you of course, but we'd also like to play other teams. Carny: I agree that the comment mentioned earlier was not directed specifically at us, but we were included, which offended me at the time since we have played you so many times. After re-reading all the posts,...

what do you mean 2-3 it probually near 10. Well, Ok then, i guess it was with my teammies then, cause I don't remember more than 3 ... or maybe it's just my old age. :( In any case, I don't think that EEZ can be considered as excessively backing out of matches due to fear of loosing. Anyone can che...

OK, we have played 9 official matches with HOW and what, 2 or 3 'fun' ones? I see your point with the league in general Carny, but I don't see how it applies to us - we have played more than 1/3 of our total official matches with HOW. And, although I probably caught you at a bad time, you did refer ...

Ok, I'll post my opinion, since I am involved in this. Last nite, Carny said our team [EEZ] had no balls for not playing an official match with them. Well, we have played HOW 9 times, ProXS 5 times, Tex twice, etc. We have played 21 matches with teams ranked higher or much higher than us, and 3 with...

New setup on the IST site. I only worked on the home page of the site so that I can get input on the new look. Please let me know if you like it or not. Thanks, ski YES. I like it. Clean, easy to read and navigate. No offense, but I didn't like the background that you had - it was distracting. The ...
