Firstly: Regarding bots (and the list server), learner's word goes. The development team (as far as posts in this thread, that means learner, l4m3r, and me) run the list server at our discretion. Generic information (i.e. not directed specifically at anyone in this thread): High bot counts on public...

Many keyboards have this problem. Not really anything you can do about it other than get a different keyboard.

Cobra: Siege is a new gamestyle...one attacking and one defending team, very construction-oriented. me1: When our svn repo goes live, you're welcome to check out the code. Be aware that it still doesn't work right on Windows, and there are a lot of glitches and crashes still...it's been no small tas...

me1: We simply don't have the manpower to maintain two forks of bzflag at this point, and the dev team is really excited about wzflag. You're welcome to work on bzflag yourself, the source is still available. We think you'll be convinced once you actually start playing wzflag though :) Cobra: I alre...

Just to answer a few questions here: Yes, it really is happening. The announcement was a bit premature, but the Warzone people wanted to have it coincide with their 2.0.6 release. Gran, as far as game types, we have a bit of design work left to do. Siege, Team FFA, and FFA are the styles we have wor...

Google Summer of Code - Get Paid to work on BZFlag!
The BZFlag team is pleased to announce that BZFlag has been chosen as a Google Summer of Code mentoring organization. they are in SGI RGB format. however your system is setup to handle those is up to you. bzflag will not read that format anymore. you would have to convert them. MediaFile still reads SGI files just fine (and we still build the SGIImageFile code), so you just have to convince BZFlag to ask for them....

Re: Observer waiting
I searched, but I didn't see anything like this proposed. Good idea, eh? It is an excellent idea, and one that will probably be implemented sometime. Not to fault your searching skills, but it has been discussed before (to find it with search, you would have needed to know that we call this feature...

Video card model numbers are systematic. Both manufacturers use the same system, but the numbers are not comparable between them. Higher series numbers do not mean the card is faster (i.e. the GeForce 7300 is much slower than the GeForce 6800). A higher series number in the same price bracket will u...

bzfscron 1.0
Reference: The original thread for the bzfs 2.0 version of bzfscron is here . bzfscron allows you to run arbitrary / commands on a schedule. It supports a very complete crontab parser that closely approximates those found on most modern *nix systems. See the ReadMe for more details. I have checked i...
