Re: The most important enhancement of all
[1] Checking tank movement speed [2] Checking tank rotation speed [3] Checking tank shot speed (although I think this is already done) [4] Checking tank hit zone (i.e. it dies when it should) Server already does that stuff, mostly... Speed cheats are not strong enough (without getting autokicked) t...

Strange, on mac it doesn't happen on Safari, on mac Firefox it did. It has to do with the link I was using (bzbb.bzflag.org over my.bzflag.org/bb/) On my new windows it does the same on firefox, it's something to do with PHPBB, maybe there should only be one domain for the boards? I seriously think ...

Jeff we upgraded from the GNU site for libtool stable release, which is 1.5.22. As I don't know the version that comes with 10.4... The developmental release of libtool is 1.9f and the CVS is 2.1a... I would think it would be a bad idea to support only versions after the stable release, but I don't ...

Bulkley this has to do with how bzflag calculates the physics of your tank and the teleporter edge. The best thing to do is stay away from the edges (left and right) jumping on top of them should be fine :) Davy: This isn't a simple mod in the source or it would already be fixed. This has to do with...

The client picks tele-points based on the map (does it's own random calculation on random teleporters IIRC) The problem with this, is on slower video cards this won't work very well, giving faster video cards more of an advantage, when BZFlag gets far enough this might be a feature or flag even. her...

BZW C/C++ wrapper library/utility?
I was wondering, is there a C/C++ (programming) library or utility for opening/closing/rendering BZW objects?
I know there is code in BZFlag source, but is that directly portable?

Purple Pwnage Map making
Hello, some of you might know, some of you might not but I am hosting a server called "Purple Pwnage" Now the map I have is well... people are getting tired of it. It's small (200 units) meets all my criteria for a PPwn map. I wanted a few more (20+) and have started a couple but thought &...

Ok for everyone's information, with inchworm's help I was able to figure the problem out. As slayer++ said, atan2 only gives me correct information for a specific quadrant (at the time I didn't know what a quadrant is) Strangly I figured this, not in the exact sense, but I thought how I would do it,...

Advertised on the stats?
I'm looking into getting an advertised server up with only people I know won't do... bad things... aka, spamming, tking, talking trash... Just had a question though about advertising... Will it show up on the stats? basic view, if someone makes a high score will it go on their profile? at stats.bzfl...

Texture Alpha channel shows "color" (is this possi
Hey, got a great idea for a map, been working on the textures, popped them into bzflag... and my! it makes the boxes half transparent... Anyway this is what I wanted to do, have a box that you set the color and then have the texture "overlay" it so that the texture itself doesn't change co...

I'm only gonna say this once, not press it at all... I am warning you! if you remove Genocide, Boxy War's intended crowd will change drastically. That would make it way too complex. Like win xp said we have radar for things like that. Plus it would be confusing to see a mirror at the top of your screen that also blocks your view of things upward. If you're going to add this, you should add side mirrors and back-up lights too. Ummmmm............

Too complex to cycle through the flags? What about mouse wheel? Right now, it's set to scroll content in the text box, but people could use page up/down if they really need to scroll that area. I was talking to my teacher, and he said that he thinks he's seen a server where people had two flags. I ...

Technically, no. BZFlag is unable to have two flags at once. People might disagree, but technically speaking, based off of flag classes, it is impossible technically to have two flags at once. It is like this... There's a box, you can fill it up with one cup of water. You pour two cups of water in, ...
