yes, that is what baffals me. The server window stays open, I just can't connect, nor anyone else.

yes i knew the 10 things, and I thought it puts em in the folder with it. Anyway thats why I thought I would run it in my folder so it would have permissions to. I also tried running it out of C:\path\to\bzflag\ with the same result.

Basicaly all you said was what I knew, is there any fix?

Not sure if you are running bzfs or the "start server" button in bzflag. If you are running bzfs, make sure you connect with the correction options

Example:

Code: Select all

server: localhost
port: 5154
If you did not set a port parameter in bzfs this will work. If you did use the port you specified.

JeffM2501: i understand what you are saying about WINDOWS XP (I have PRO). All i am saying is that you can get around whatever the limitation is caused by, by simply taking out most of the flags, not sure if this is an accident or what, just saying that it works.
