Limit shots with a certain flag
I'm in the process of setting up a map for a server, and wanted to know how you limit shots for a certain flag before it is dropped, for example, two shots for Genocide? I was also wondering if this is set up through bzfs or .bzw, because I am only making a map for someone else to host, not setting ...

How to make a flag dissapear after drop?
I noticed that on Missile War 2.3 and many other servers that when you drop a flag, it goes up in the air, then a rainbow coloured disk comes and swallows it up. I am making a server and see that when my flags get dropped, it just flies up, then lands on the ground where it was dropped. How do I get...

Flags won't spawn on the groud
I'm making a map with two castles, a little like Castle Warfare. Each one has two levels. The first level is 8 off the ground in the Z Axis. When I try to spawn flags there, with a Z Axis position of 0, they appear on the second floor of the castle. How can I get the to spawn on the ground?

Tanks don't spawn in specified zones
I am making a CTF map. I add a zone for testing because it was annoying with the tank spawning in a random place each time. It all worked fine, until I added the team base. When I added the base, the tank always spawned there, and never at the zone. How can I set it so that it spawns in a random des...

I have a 10GB/month Broadband internet connection. If I lay say 5GB aside for server hosting, approximately how much play time would 5 players receive?

Re: Map options??
Thanks. I will only be using basic config as this is only to test a map, not to host anything, I'm going to find someone else that likes my map to host for me. Thanks anyway

Testing a server with more than one player...
Hey, I am using this config file to test a map:
I wanted to test it with a friend over the internet, and it was to my understanding that -q didn't add it to public listing, but allowed anyone with the server and port to connect. Why wasn't it?? Thanks.
Code: Select all
-q
-c
-world world_file.bzf
-autoTeam

Australian/New Zealand servers
It's pretty well know that Australians and New Zealanders get major lag on most servers. It's unfair on the other players, because it gives the laggers an advantage, and it's unfair on the laggers because there is near to nowhere to play. I'd like to dedicate this thread to my fellow Aussies/NZers. ...
