I'd forgotten i asked this!

I fixed it by deleting the BZFlag folder inside ~/Library/Application Support/

I'd gotten a clue from another thread after I posted the question - apparently the error comes from a munged config file after upgrading from 1.10.

I can run both now - hope this helps.

Please keep us informed as to where and when these are release. With significant new eye-candy introduced in this beta, I'd say there's going to be interest in seeing it early.

and THANKS!

Would you need a Cyan base and Cyan flag? Definitely the flag...

Maybe not the base, but where would the players spawn after the cap?

I played it this evening with about a dozen folks - nobody really knew the rules and all of the new people joining were really confused for a while. It was mostly a FFA of all red tanks with some people concentrating on killing the flag carrier. GREAT FUN - but my score was negative 290 when I final...

Rather bump this old topic than start a new one... I've just started logging on a BZF 1.10 server I'm admin on and have a couple more questions. I'm using OSX 10.4 terminal and used the ">>logfile.log" (no quotes) to keep track of everthing. But when I use that option, no output goes to th...

I usually hate these kind of responses, but I am using that version of OSX and 2.0.4 works fine for me. Try backing up and deleting the BZF app, support and prefs and reinstall. ie. ~/Library/Application Support/BZFlag and maybe ~/Library/Preferences/org.BZFlag.plist (or "org.bzflag.bzflag.pli...

2.04 interfering with 1.10

2.04 (and 2.03b9) is messing with 1.10 - as far as i can tell. After trying 2.03b9 for a while I went back to 2.02 and the problem went away. Now with 2.04 I guess I need to find a solution. I still like some of the 1.10 servers. I'm running OSX 10.4.2 . I've attached a terminal session where I try ...

Look at the "Hall of Shame" - you are near the top.

It's events like this one that make these numbers (both high and low scores) unreliable and irrelevant.

Can I keep the color info when I save the text output of a session when I use the "-echoAnsi" option.

From OS X 10.4 terminal

Welcome to the BB! The version being worked on right now includes at least one of your suggestions and the possibility for many more. For a long time the Geno, Shock Wave, Laser, and Guided Missle flags have shown up as white initials in the player list, instead of the tank color like other flags. K...

Really only about 100 players on?

Looking at the server list at http://my.bzflag.org/serverlist.php I see about a dozen popular servers populated with about 100 players. From what I've seen, this seems to be about average, with more at certain times. But are there really only about 100 players on ALL the public servers in the world?...
