pretty sure this is related to an extent Crash Warning Versions 1.2.7, 1.2.6, 1.0.17, and 1.0.16 have a bug that will cause applications that strip the alpha channel (while reading a PNG) to crash. The bug is fixed in versions 1.2.8 and 1.0.18, which were released on 3 December 2004. and for a previ...

Nice guys! I also thought of an idea that I had a few months before when I was coding the Mapatorium. There would be a server that would host the Map of the Day each day. If you look at the code, the "Map of the Day" choice is weighted so that more highly-rated maps have more chances of b...

it actually isnt that bad... it isnt what you expect something that works so well to look like, but it works and it isnt impossible to navigate. i helped recode a site once, the code was so bunched that you'd find 5 if statements on one line, then find a use for the variable they set 100 lines below...

use cvs and compile it, i didnt think going from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5 would make the fps better since i was almost maxed from my moniter and it has a ton more effects, but i gained about 10 fps. cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/bzflag login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge...

Cable or DSL really makes a difference. Despite Cables advertisement of "Faster and Better," it isnt necessarily true. Cable had the tendency to get slower speeds at peak times. I've been on a few Cable systems where they have outstanding (and even scary) speed at night (2000kb/s), but the...
