That was on Secretplace, the night(/morning :lol-old: ) hundreds of people from slashdot descended on bzflag.

I could never get anywhere near that under normal circumstances though.

Grats on the score! :D

I beg to differ. There's always people there when I play and at times such as later in the evening or weekends it can reach 20-30 players.

I do agree with the rest of your post though.

Secretplace as of now could probably have been built back before 2.0 and it is usually 4th or 5th on the list.

While cool maps may be fun once in awhile, it's the functional, working class maps that keep people interested.

You still can steamroller someone this way. Another way people get each other, is someone is on top of a thing box, and the person with SR jumps, hits the top, and the squish radius gets them, and boom they're dead. Seeing as Secretplace has many long raised causeways or "thing boxes" (:w...

and if they have a flag, u can see the flag sticking out over the building too. :) and around corners, if their gun is sticking out, sometimes you can shoot a bullet across it and they'll blow up  Sometimes OO tanks in buildings have their gun pointing out and you can kill them. I also rememb...

I saw it on TV and didn't go and burn cars, so obviously it isn't entirely because it was seen on TV.

Was it so long ago that the people that now want to ban video games had their parents trying to keep them away from the "violence" of Rock and Roll? Games don't make people violent. PEOPLE make people violent. The worst BZFlag can evoke is the intense urge to throw green spheres at people...

All Hail Emperor Cookie!

EDIT: Well me and Annhilator had a long talk today. He was having a bad day and I was beating him pretty badly. He aplogized to me for his actions. I in turn also was at fault for creating this thread. I was angry that he kept insulting me so I made a thread, that in effect, mocked him. I apologized...

Re: lockup with burrow

Hello All. I just installed BZ 2.0.4 and played at secretplace for a while. I had burrow flag and was turning and all of a sudden, I got the mouse cursor on screen and bz no longer responded. I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get the process killed. I was being chased, and could have been near a block or so...
