go download bzedit from the bzflag project on sourceforge, then read the mapmaking section of the wiki of the main page, piece of advice, download someones map, make sure its simple then run it in bzedit and explore

suggestion add the "options" part in the map file and make the map size smaller to about 200 i think, at least thats what the pictures look like it might be, then it would truely be mini

when i convert my obj file to .bzw and try to run it in bzfs i get non-convex mesh face, invalid mesh face, what does that mean?

well what if it still logs it but just clears the box of spamming, so for instance all convos would be logged in a file or something while in the game one can clear the chat box from spammers

yea that is a way, im making hundreds of walls about 1x10x15 and im gonna give them textures of water, then the outside will have water and and i will add bases and such as i go along, that way i dont have to worry about a flag problem
