if you have the newest bzflag (2.16 i believe)
go into options
then go into effects settings
there should be an option called bullet length... turn it up
you should now have happy bullets

Re: Strange looking bulet
I once had a problem where vista corrupted my red bullet when I tried to make it orange... I saw the bullet correctly however all other users saw white squares Vista explorer would not let me delete the image, modify the image or change it in any way then that computer killed its own graphics card w...

So the idea is you have a script that will grab randomly from a library of objects so that the map is different every time?

Re: Mouse Vs. Keyboard
i recently found a program called mouse trap that lets me control the mouse by moving my head (it tracks where the forehead is with the webcam)
I have to use keyboard for shooting and jumping though (doen't recognize clicks or blinks or the like)
control bz with my head!!!!! (its very very hard)

Re: base 23 version 1
actuall this map was entirely hand coded with the exception of the door.. If you look at the code there are tons of boxes and mesh boxes there are some meshprys in there too the trees are spheres and arcs see http://bzenv.site50.net/trees.html for more info. the door was the only piece built in wing...

Re: base 23 version 1
yes more frames = more smoothly sorry but you can either have it shoot through or not shoot through regardless if it is open or closed bzflag is incapable of collisions with moving objects (as seen in other games) and from my understanding the way the bz code is written it would be near inpossibe to...

Re: base 23 version 1
I could make the door not shoot through by putting an invisible drive-through box in it
There is not collision detection with the mesh itself
Size does not matter, it just might need more frames in order to animate smoothly (and even mine doesn't animate smoothly as it is. )

Re: base 23 version 1
version 1.1 is out. Fixed some spawn bugs. link updated ______________ the doors are done with draw-info using draw-info's LOD (level of detail) LOD is intended to make meshes lower in quality as one gets farther away from them. its an optimization tool I however rigged it so that when the player ge...

Re: Delirious City by KTL
A line in drawinfo corresponds with a opengl "GL_LINE". The thing has no width, the graphics card gives it just enough width to be visible properly, unrelated to how far away it is. Awesome :D What other cool things can be done with draw info? (I already know about LOD and spinning objects)

depends on what the enemy has.
I always keep close watch of the score board to see the balance of enemy lasers vs gms
stealth, however, works all the time

I still don't white understand how you made a line in bz (is it a really thin mesh?)
the screen shots do not do justice... you must visit the map (to future post readers)

Re: What is your key mapping / what is the best key mapping
I actually use a wacom tablet to play when I migrated/upgraded from vista to linux I lost functionality of the four function keys on the tablet. so now I use a tablet keyboard hybrid. shoot = tap jump = lower pen button binoc = upper pen button drop flag = z identify = x when my tablet is not around...
