Re: how did u find bz?
It was several years ago, maybe in 2005 or prior. First callsign was Jimmie or Jimmie Johnson or some exceptional like that since I was a NASCAR dork back then (not in the redneck sort of way, but because I had an interest in fast cars long before I could actually legally drive, and I found out ther...

Re: What (if anything) do you listen to when playing BZ?
My taste in music encompasses a variety of styles. I've always been oriented more towards hard rock and metal of different styles (but prog is my favorite), but I've been opening up lately to a bunch of different genres like classic rock, punk, blues, jazz, classical, electronica and old school/unde...

Re: Flag Pocketing
No, that would defeat the entire purpose of this idea, which is supposed to make having multiple flags less cheap, not more.

Flag Pocketing
Here's an idea that came to my mind earlier today that I think would make for an interesting change to traditional BZFlag gameplay. Now, before you reject this because it involves tanks carrying multiple flags, hear me out, because I thought about that. And I 100% agree that if someone could, say, p...

Re: Whatever happened to Mario's Arena?
Just got a game started there and it was tons of fun--again, thanks for bringing this map back! There were only two problems: 1) it had permanent bad flags, which I don't think the original map had and which aren't fun anyway, and 2) some people like ducatiwannabe were getting spam-kicked for practi...

If only I knew where the map was. If someone could track it down, that would be awesome.

Whatever happened to Mario's Arena?
It's an old map from back before 2.0.0 was even released, but I'm sure some of you still remember it. I was just thinking about it today and just how much fun I had there. I wish it was back on the serverlist. I understand zaphod picked it up eventually and then made Ultimate Arena (which I've never...

Re: How would you rate yourself
Eh....on average, maybe about a 5-7, but it varies pretty wildly. Like today I was playing on Mofo for a while and got a score well below -200 points, but other times (usually on less chaotic servers) I can really get into a groove and rack up a fairly moderate amount of points. The thing is I've pl...

Re: Ninja Castle (Map project Sig and I are planning)
Sweetness. I might still be interested, but it's probably a matter of finding the time to do it. I've got this week free for spring break, but I'm pretty damn sure this kind of map wouldn't be made in a week, so maybe this summer?

Re: Ninja Castle (Map project Sig and I are planning)
teh lulz, this map has made sooooooo much progress... I was just playing on Mari's Japanese Castle map a few minutes ago, and it reminded me of this. I haven't really even touched this idea in about a year, and now that i've been going to college my mind has mostly been on other things. I don't know...

Re: Tutorial Video
Agreed. That way you get basically the same experience as the actual gameplay. That's how the best tutorials usually work in actual console games, so I don't see why BZ's should be different.

Can't it just be included in the game somewhere on the main menu?

Maybe the zombies get "cured" whenever a human shoots them?

Re: Ninja Castle (Map project Sig and I are planning)
Yeah, teles would be great. i was thinking it would be great to have them, I'm just not sure where to put them. :P Also, the underground tunnel should help people get around to different places faster, so it's easier for the player to go wherever he thinks the action is. (and the forest is the most ...

Re: Ninja Castle (Map project Sig and I are planning)
Hmmmm, good point. I had thought about this before. It really would suck if there weren't many other players on. I was thinking either having all 4 teams + Rogue with about 5 per team, or 2 teams with about 10 each. And I guess the tank speed could be slightly increased so you could move around quic...

wow, I feel no where near as prepared when putting a map together as you are...That is some intense sketching Haha, thanks! :) Part of the reason I had to sketch it out like that was to help communicate my ideas to sig, because some things are hard to express with words. this is incredibly promisin...

Re: Map project Sig and I are planning
I like the first one. Sorry dude, you voted a little too late. I had already decided to stop counting the votes the week you ended up voting. Sorry I didn't say anything earlier. But onto the results! I think since there was a tie between Osaka and Himeji, and sig liked Osaka the best, I'll go with...

Re: Map project Sig and I are planning
Ok, thanks for the contact info. I left a /report on the server asking the mapmaker to contact me via email, but just in case that doesn't work, I'll still stop by MW2.3 and ask around. I'll try PM too. Anyone else going to pick a castle? I think I'll close the votes pretty soon. Probably either thi...

I was just trying to read through all the /help stuff so I could understand what to do, and then next thing you know I got kicked for inactivity. Sig's my buddy though, so I won't really hate on the map or anything. I've participated in RPs on forums before and they can be kinda fun. It's just a dif...

Ninja Castle (Map project Sig and I are planning)
I'm not sure I want to go into detail on the map yet (for now I want it to be at least a little bit of a surprise), but yeah, sigonasr2 and I have been planning out a new and VERY interesting map. It's going to be a rather complex one too, especially for BZFlag standards. Anyway, the reason I posted...

BZFlag doesn't recognize my forum SN and password
Hi, I haven't really posted on here in a while. I've had a problem with BZFlag for a while. At least a year ago, BZFlag suddenly stopped recognizing my callsign and password for the global login. I used the same info from my forum account, so that's not the issue. i even tried changing my forum pass...
