Re: libtool woes OSX 10.5 ppc
well, bit the bullet, installed Debian (after trying gentoo, fedora, ubuntu and failing - they all kept falling over during the install) and bzflag 2.4.2 compiled without any errors, so I'm pretty pleased with that, now just have to transfer all my server configs over from Mac side and i'm good to g...

Re: libtool woes OSX 10.5 ppc
thanks for the info, looks like I won't need to post the output from autogen.sh and libtool. compiled source with no libtool issues on the intel OSX 10.8. I am prepared to say its a version problem which won't be fixed on outdated hardware and software combinations. now I am seriously considering du...

Re: libtool woes OSX 10.5 ppc
currently using that, but the time will come when I 'must' upgrade, atm I am trying to sort out the problems I'm having with libtool in advance of that timeblast wrote:You could just use the 2.4.0 binary package we provide.

libtool woes OSX 10.5 ppc
trying to compile v2.4.2 on 10.5 PPC and failing with libtool 'command not found' errors, is this because of the wrong libtool version? (currently around 1.5, I'd have to check) the last version that will compile without error is v2.0.16. note v2.40 brings up the same libtool errors as 2.4.2 does an...

freezing in leopard
any body been experiencing bzflag suddenly freezing in leopard? been happening to me in several instances, luckily opt-command-esc gets me out of it, so its only the game thats affected. btw, the same thing happened with ut2k4 and q3 arena, it suggests something inherent in leopard, perhaps opengl n...

"server not found" on OSX86
Just compiled 2.0.8 on intel mac (Shots DO show up on radar!) however, using the list server to select a server results in a "server not found" error. However, I can connect using the IP address of the server I want (thank god for Ping). I suspect that there may be a curl issue - any thoug...

ban list
I have a need to ban a player (for continually cheating) but in my config file -ban "player name" or -ban "ip address" doesn't seem to work - they can still join. i have also tried a ban file but bzfs reports that it cant open it (besides, I've no idea of its format). what can i ...

need advice on DOS attacks
I'm a complete noob as far as this stuff goes, but first a little background. I have been running a server for some time now and every so often my machine will completely freeze on me, I can't even access by remote from my lan. This only happens when I am running bzfs. I am assuming that I have been...

server won't shut down
running bzfs with -g and -time option set, on the same machine i run bzflag client with bots, problem is bzfs wont shut down when time runs out, so this means that nothing resets. I am assuming that the bots in the client are what keeps it open, i know that normally with no bots, the server will kic...
