That is like wash me but don't make me wet. Give me some soap and sand, I'll wash you without getting you wet... Chestal said : Maybe we need a good example because there seems to be some confusion. For me there was a lot of confusion. So thanks [dmp] for the example. It's more easy for m...

Nice attitude encourages new players
Bz Inc., Untamed and SNT are all taking in newer players, with an eye toward training them up and having a lot of fun in the process. This is the best way to enjoy playing. My best moments on bzf are linked with "transmitting something": when experienced players gave me my first tips (tha...

My suggestion is how we can get a better score for a team. And no matter how you turn it, the team is dependent on its players. How do you link this with the cap score? Because the player who caps doesn't care about his personal score, his only goal is to bring the flag home. (I don't speak about m...

In a perfect bz-world...
... we would choose before a match how long it will last. Players agree before and just choose. Why don't have 5 minutes matches? And, more, why not having a 24H endurance match (sub allowed...)? (All this with 6 players per team, of course; I really love the 6-6 test map.) The only thing is to link ...

Re: A question to the Council
In the event someone misbehaves, what do you, the players, think should happen to that person? Clearly, many factors must be taken into account, but what is the range of actions that should be taken? I maybe look like the fool who tries to take part in a serious discussion, but please consider this...

2. I'd say the server should have at least 6 slots per team. This has been done. Pimpi put up dub.bzflag.org:5157. It has slots for 6v6. Try it out! 6-6 is really good. I tried a bit yesterday, and did my worst scores since a long time, but it was great. It's a kind of madness; it looks like . . . ...

Maybe players themselves could be recognized a bit more. I don't know about the rest of you , but i use this as motivation. I like being recognized by people as being good. So lately , i've been playing much at those servers , because of this reason. My 2Cents. Well well, but what if you're bad (as...

chtibidasse : as this is a livecd, you have nothing to install to play bzflag. Just insert that cdrom (once downloaded and burnt ;-) ), power on or reboot your system and if the system bios is correctly setup then you will boot onto that cdrom. Then just play bzflag (if your network devices are rec...

The plan was to release it today but I am afraid it needs more testing. And the upload of 650-700 MB will take quite a lot of time. I expect it to be ready somewhen between tomorrow and wednesday. And what's up now?.. I understand almost NOTHING in programming and doing something else than press th...

My favorite trick: - choose a tank. - go behind him (thanks to a st flag, or a wall, or maybe is the tanker a bit blind, or has't noticed he had a radar...) - when close enough, shout BRAAAAAAA !!! My childs all wake up, my wife asks for divorce, and my tank is destroyed. But this trick is the only ...

Dodging GM, wah!!! Usually I get shot a few miliseconds after I notice to be locked on. Dodge a 2 or 3 bullets ordinary shoot, that's O.K (... sometimes...). But what with 5 or more bullets?.. And ... how to dodge a laser?.. I start a challenge with gm: this evening I got one, locked on a ta...
