I'm taking a big guess here, but it may be Cheese's smilies are "Big Cheese" on his Great Wall map.

Hmm, well names are only for reference, right? So it really wouldn't matter.....

They were down?

To my knowlege, the some servers go down to make more "internet room" for the servers with more people on them. Might be that....

Is the fog being worked on? Because when I see fog, I absolutly slow down when a server has fog, although I can get pretty good fog frame rates in flight sim (bad example). Maybe an option to turn off fog?

Oh it's hard with bigger teams. We had teams of what 7-10-ish? It took a very long time for a team to capture.

Just played on the server for a bit. Besides being a bit confusing at the beginning. It is very fun, and requires a lot more teamwork then you usually use. Very fun, and has lots of teamwork in it. You just need one more member, and then the enemy blow you all up so you have to start over. 10 starts...

Looks like fun. I think it would help teamwork.

But I could see new users of BZFlag joining and having no clue what to do.

Confused Physics Driver...

Hi, In updating my Water Towers map, I require a physics driver in one of the towers, however when I change it to a meshbox, it dissappears. But if I try it at 0 0 it works great. physics name RCB linear 0.0 0.0 50.0 # x/y/z linear velocities slide 0.0 # time until max velocity (> 0.0 enables) end m...

Why use a teleport when you can make it out of mesh? :D

Yeah, I'll probaly put noradar in as there's a big red square in the middle of the map.

Well, taking this teppics code from this topic: mesh vertex 10 -10 15 vertex -10 -10 15 vertex -10 10 15 vertex 10 10 15 face vertices 0 1 2 3 drivethrough endface face vertices 3 2 1 0 endface end I found you really didn't need the other box for one way shot throughs. So I just changed drivethrough...

Is it possible to create a box that can only be shot through one way? Something like the one way drive through.

Well, I put the map and the conf on my computer, ran a local test, and the map is not your problem even with the odd-strange looking characters infront of name. I think your problem is in your config. Quick look at it, I commented out what I think might have been it, started it up, uncommented some,...

Try getting rid of the hyphen (-) in the name.

So it would become:

Code: Select all

name box 0

Get rid of the "#!".

#!name box-0

Why is there strange characters in front of the "name" tags?

Code: Select all

cd C:\program files\bZFlag\
