No I didn't compile it myself, I downloaded a plugin in .so format already. So I'm attempting your compiling guide and I got a bit confused at one part. How do I include bzfsAPI.h into the code?

Thanks ahs3, It works now but when I test the object in a private server I find that the object is halfway underground. Is there a quick fix to this?

I was wandering if it was possible to drive up a slant. I tried by applying physics with a linear jump but it didn't seem to do anything. So what did I do wrong when portfowarding? Was I not supposed to use my routers IP? Was I supposed to use my external IP?JeffM wrote:you didn't port forward correctly. all you need is -public to show up on the list.
The problem is not with bzfs it is your network.

I see you're using port 81 for the list server which leads me to believe you are behind a proxy of some kind on your ISP, since that is the usual fix for an transparent caching proxy. If so, I'd say it's like that your ISP also prevents you from hosting any services. Is there a possible work around?

The one with your IP and no description is just being detected locally via a multicast discovery (or some other method - not sure) on your LAN. The game client automatically detects servers on the LAN running on port 5154. Check the list itself and see if you see your server: http://my.bzflag.org/d...
