Great to see you back Aribeth. I for one miss Sleepycows, but now we can play Giza and WHAMMO! World out at norang!!! I also have to agree with LouMan. Variety is the spice of life. If no one played the maps out at norang they wouldn't be there, but most maps get played EVERY single day, so someone ...

You can find the variables for all the ones related to laser by typing this in bz: set _laser* Yer but that dosent show what it does Yes, you are correct. But this link does http://www.bzflag.org/wiki/ServerVariables . Granted not everything is there and there is a disclaimer, but it should point y...

The Forums (they were moved last night/today depending on your timezone) are also not changing threads to "read" after you read them. I have PMed JeffM2501 about it. I beleive there will probably have to be some config tweaking since they were moved to a new server. Or it may have to do wi...

All of LouMan's maps are all hosted on 2 physical servers, with each map being hosted on a different port. And the reason why he has so many maps hosted is that they all get played very regularly. If no one played on them we would probably put something else up, but why stop a good thing when you've...

OK guys, your in a tank. A tank has ONE view port and it points out the FRONT. In real life tank driver has a very limited field of view, and so it is the same here (well actually your field of view in the game is better than real life). Get over it... it's a tank not a car. :D

Huh.. your english is terrible. If you speak some other language, type your question in it. It can't be any worse than your english, and someone might be able to respond... Su inglés es horible. Si usted habla una cierta otra lengua, mecanografíe su pregunta en ella. No puede ser peor que su inglés,...

It is not difficult to start a server from the command line though deathnight . And the instructions are above. No one but you or others on you local network will be able to play as it will not be on the public list. And you get to use /SET :D . You most likely already have the server software on yo...

It would also help to have the question in you native language. So when you post put both the question in your language and in english. We have many people who speak multiple languages who read these posts and if your english translation isn't good enought, they can help out by restating your questi...

You have to make a server to play locally, no matter how you do it. There are configuration items that you must include to make it a "public" server. You are not putting those options in so you do not have to worry.

Remember - not everybody uses a config file for their server! Deathknight, that is your bzflag config file, not the bzfs one. A bzfs config is just a list of command-line options - you don't need it, you can just use them directly. Start bzfs like this: bzfs -password supersecret Then log into your...

I would concur with Jeff... and you ARE using dial-up so it could all be a timing issue with what you are saying about no names (??????). Basically you need to use that switch, however you start your client. If you are on Windows modify your shortcut to look like this (of course your path may be different) "C:\Program Files\BZFlag2.0.5b6\bzflag.exe" -view anaglyph. You then need to whip out your cool 3D shades and play BZ-3D...

Have you tried any of my suggestions? I have heard no mention of how that went or what you found... The message you are getting has to do with the port. When you do a CRTL-ALT-DEL go to the processes tab and make sure there is no process called bzfs. If there is highlight it and click "End Process". If that isn't it, another issue can be a firewall on your pc. If the firewall is blocking that port you can get that message. The other thing ...
