Getting the source..
JeffM : If you got time time, feel free. I'm still waiting for university to grant me full access so I cannot get the full version yet. The source can be downloaded from: http://github.com/dennis/bzlauncher/tree/master . It uses wxWidget (www.wxwidget.org) and requires 2.8.4 or better. Currently th...

BZFlag Launcher App 0.9
Hi, Im not sure if this is off-topic or not. If it is I apologize and please don't hesitate to delete it. I've been working on a small app that lists available BZFlag servers and launches BZFlag if you want to play. Since its easier to show than describe with words, here is the screenshots for Linux...

Debian Binaries
Now that JeffM have announced some Super-Pre-Alpha builds I've updated my repository to feature bzflag v2.1.x builds too. I've renamed bzflag v2.1.x to bzflaghead/bzfshead (so use bzflaghead to start bzflag v2.1.x) - while bzflag v2.0.9 keeps bzflag/bzfs Feel free to grap them from: http://debian.ko...

I can only confirm what quantum dot says. The site dosnt store your password anywhere, but calculates a hash from that password, and that hash is stored in the database. Now, when you log in, it calculates a hash of the password you enter, and compares it to the stored hash. As a password will alway...

Unofficial CVS builds for debian (.deb + repository)
I've created a repository with 2.0.9 (CVS) version of BZFlag and BZFlag server. Both source and binary (for i386) are available. I'll try to update/upload new binaries when there is reason to (=changes). To install on your debian system: 1) Download manually and install Download the .deb file (e.g: ...

Its buggy. I saw the client in action and it mass-private messaged everyone that chat was disabled, causing some confusion among other players. They and I didnt write or otherwise give any reason for the script to respond. I had to mute the player. Later the player was lagging pretty bad. You might ...

Are you sure its global login? I had a problem awhile back, that bzflag crashes after debian upgrade libcurl3 to 7.15.4-1. Downgrading libcurl3 made it work again. Try this and check if you got the same version: apt-cache policy libcurl3 |grep Installed If you got the same problem, you could try to ...

Ok, Ill try to make an example. Please hide your calculators, because the numbers are just for showing the effects - not showing my math skills :)Its pretty long, but I also wanted to show who and why it solves some of the problems I belive the current system have. If you want to "play" wi...

And I agree too. But currently it dosnt represent the skill of the team. It represents a random number between the two weakest and two strongest players of the team - at best. (Assuming that most matches are 2vs2) My suggestion is how we can get a better score for a team. And no matter how you turn ...

It wouldnt be hard to set up. I've created postlist.org some time ago. It does not allowed you to post from the webpage, but it wouldnt be too hard to add. As long as it requires some means of authentication so it isnt used mostly by spambots. It needs polishing and some scripts needs to be written ...

Conan, I agree with you totally. But people want small graphics instead of a smiley, they want their large animated annoying signature. And god forbid that we ignore their post because they keep posting useless stuff. I mean, 30 years of emailing have given us alot of filtering features, why use it ...
