Re: Couple more flag ideas
And the server option "shots keep vertical velocity" needs to be made into a flag, too. If the server setting is turned on, then the flag makes shots go straight. Call it "Vertical Shots" This (or something like it) already failed the Riker test unless I'm mistaken. Why? Seems l...

A rather interesting idea, really. Perhaps it could be an objective, not just a base. There are lots of different things you could protect or destroy. :) Picking up on what DW said, there could be a 'destroy [teams]' property for meshes and 2.x objects. This alleviates the need for bases, but still...

Sounds like a good idea. Something similar has been done in Subspace, (which is a great game, btw- if you like bzflag you'll probably like it) where one player can join another as a "turret".

If you want to mix personal score with team score then I think that you should give 1 point to each tank in the capping team and subtract 1 point from each tank in the opposing team. I dunno, that would kinda defeat the point of this whole idea if the person acutally doing the work got as many poin...

Not sure where to post this....
Some guy using A Meteorite's name (in all lowercase) has been obviously cheating on a server called "pie the sky" (pieinthesky.bettagirl.com). He can't be hit, even after I shot him about 5 times head on. Even the worst lag I've seen can't be that bad. Just thought I'd give you guys a warn...

A parameter could be added for the world block of the map, though, with the position, and up and down angle for where you should see the map. Yeah, that would work better then trusting people to upload pictures of their map. (I know that sounds kinda cynical, but like TML said, how long will it be ...

Exporting .bzw files from the game?
This is probably a noobish question, but is there a command (or program) to export the .bzw file of the map you're currently playing to your computer? I'm trying to figure out map making and I figured a good place to start would be to look at other people's maps...
EDIT: nvm, found it.

Well, it still doesn't address the exploit of moving back and forth to rack up points, but I guess it doesn't really matter- it's kind of hard to do that when the entire enemy team is trying to kill you. :P Other then that, I like your idea. EDIT: not sure if this would work, but.... What if, when y...
