Hey, so I worked and experimented a little, and found out a way to do the burrow thing, but it's gonna take some work from you. Now, I used this: And was able to make a box that lets (has to be a 1.0 box, can't be meshbox) you slowly slide out if you drop the BU flag. See if you can somehow use this...

I saw a person on there earlier lagged through the wall, onto a part where the physics driver meshbox wasn't located and stuck his flag in the WAY corner. I think you need to make that cover the whole outside portion of your map.

Other than that, it's simple and fun.

You should have -fb on the options so that the flags go where you want them to go. Also, when you go under the little part with BU, then drop it halfway through, you get stuck. Also, the genocide never spawns into the map because you have: name center_g position 0 0 1 size 35 35 0 rotation 0 flag G ...

Probably a plugin to determine a percentage of players on the base, with say, the US flags as the 'money' would do well for your idea, The Vet. Possibly 60 or so % of the team have to have a US flag while they're on the base. Although, to make people join different teams each time is probably not po...

2.1.13 servers

So, I was playing around with the Pre-Alpha version of 2.1.13 when I pressed Search Servers and came across around 8 or so servers and started playing on them. I understand that they're probably hosting it on the new version of BZFS, which is 2.1.13? (I'm not a real techie person, so I wouldn't know...

Err...The smooth edges don't work very well with the tanks. Plus, you should release bzw files by exporting them.

(btw, the arena needs to be raised above the Y level [or Z in BZflag] so that the arena is above ground)

Nice attempt though.

You can use:

Code: Select all

zone
position 100 100 35
size 5 5 0
rotation 0
zoneflag G 5
end
to place 5 geno flags on a block at 100,100 that's in the air at 35m.

Of course, you have to make sure you have +fb in your options, or your flags wont be placed above ground.

One question, I tried to make a transparent texture, and I used white and saved as a png image file, but I still saw the white. Do I have to use a program (I have Paint.NET and the GIMP) to set an alpha value for the white or something to make it transparent?

Good, another thing I encountered, one time I had to download a 500kb world file to play the map, is this supposed to be normal? 500kb seems too big for these mesh buildings... Or is it just me?

The Grand Dynasty: Dark Castle

Hello all, this is my fifth map I have created. Here are its main features: -2 team Red vs. Blue CTF -Has a throne (chair) in the center with flags in the seat. -Has a variety of buildings and teleporters located throughout the map This map is more of an explore and memorize map than a straight thro...

People have already made tanks like this. Most of them are slightly smaller though. I think you can scale them to be larger in Wings3D or something like that.

One time on Mofo, there was a person with BU (as usual), and I headed for a flag (possibly GM, A, or TH) to stop him. The BU person closed in and then the coolest thing happened. I got O and squished him because I was such a large tank! (Of course I still got shot). So this makes another bad flag in...

Also,

A can beat BU
V can beat BU
TH can beat BU

they can all possibly go faster than the person with BU, depending on the server variables.

Twilight 24/7 Zone

Welcome to Twilight 24/7 Zone! This is my fourth map I have created, and I have decided to use meshboxes and meshpyramids in this map for the first time. I also use textures, physics drivers, and world weapons too. Making this map has taught me alot about 2.0 objects, and I'm hoping to be able to us...

They're located in "My Documents". (Obviously if you found 'My BZFlag Files' you'd know that.)

My BZFlag Files --> 2.0 --> worlds

That's where they go.

(Maybe the title of the topic should've been "Where downloaded maps go?")

So here's the screenies: Basically, the room (basic version) has platforms along the four corners and a teleporter on top that goes into the cage, along with four teleporters outside of the cage that lead to the inside. The room (deluxe version) adds some walls to the corner platforms, has a two lay...

It depends, if the base is at the exact same elevation as a box object or mesh, you may have to slightly move up the base by say 0.05 to get yourself to spawn on the base. If your base is also floating in the air without touching the ground or an object, you may have to make yourself spawn above the...

Texas Cage Match - Final Revision

Hi all. This is my second attempt at a map and I would like to know if you like it yourself. It's called "Texas Cage Match" and you spawn inside a boxed in area, and then you pretty much fight to the death. If you feel you are going to die, or are just wanting to stand around, you can go o...
