The idea is good, even if it requires that the list server can assign a location to a given IP address (or that server owners have to specify the server's location...). If the region information should be sent with the normal server list (which would make it incompatible with the current one) or in ...

@Admirarch: The leagues you listed are (together with the 1vs1 League) the most active ones. Don't forget that there are at least as many other league sites around which have only a few official matches at all. I would say that unity and centralization is probably what is most important. Do you mean...

You are right, it would be useful for players (league members) to implement some league categorization in the client. It's also correct that someone will have to spend a lot of time to program this. But before, someone has to think through the whole concept. The biggest problem will be to find some ...

bzstats.strayer.de - yet another stats site...

Hiho, I first wanted to rewrite the frontend of my (not that new) site, but as it seems there's a lack of motivation from my side. So...for those who didn't know so far...there is another BZFlag stats site out there: http://bzstats.strayer.de In principle, this site is just a combination of David_V'...

Re: sever list

In my eyes, hidden match servers are a good idea. Maybe it would be better if the dub servers would be appear in the server list for registered ducati members (as the TLZ's ducati match server), but this is not a must, because they are well known. ... I think it would be a great idea to disallow spa...

@CannonBallGuy In this case the iFrame has the same functionality like an ordinary frame. The use of is is self-evident: You don't need knowledge of how to use Server Side Includes (SSI) or scripting (like Ruby, Java, Perl, PHP,...) if you don't want to place recurrent HTML code in every HTML file (...

I have to agree with Comsol. Well, images have the advantage that they (usually) have the same look in any browser (except of text based browsers) and you can give them a really cool design. Unfortunately, there are much more disadvantages like: - Search engines can't index them. Don't you want ppl ...

That's a good question. When there is the possibility to change the length of matches, only the min. or max. time should be given. It doesn't really matter if it's allowed to play 15, 16, 17,..., 29, 30 minutes. As long as a 15min match has the same weighting as a 30min match, I don't see a reason w...

Hi AsdMaster, I have the same problem. Best solution is really to buy a new graphic card, but as written in http://my.bzflag.org/bb/viewtopic.php?p=80184 , try to enter the line set useBitmapFontRenderer 1 in your BZFlag config file. This will help to read the text, but not has no effects on images....

some automatics are fine. An individual buddy list has everybody to keep valid. An automatic system what align with the actual league teams would be nice. Hm...shorter match times can be interesting for some ppl...however...I'ld suggest that a team gets (or loses) only as many % of the points as long they played
30min > 100%
20min > 67%
15min > 50%

The more (time) you invest the more you get (or lose). :o)
