slow motion
For users who don't use the keyboard. Only the keyboard can currently be toggled for slow/normal with the A key. What about mouse users? What about joystick users? Instead of "slow keyboard motion: A" make it so that it's just "slow motion: A" (of course, the A key is the BZdefau...

the game will never have realistic physics, it is supposed to be a simple game. Real physics would mean that tanks would tilt and shots would fall. If those happen, then we have to allow the turret to aim to compensate. Then that becomes a totally different game. Tim's directive is for bzflag to re...

Can you be more specific? *EDIT* After reading the discussion and how it's progressed, I was thinking more along the lines of environment setup. Background stuff. Like for example a dense forest map. I know that the physics adds visual quality, I mean, I've seen the screenshots. I'm sure you have t...

I'm not sure how far/advanced that devs intend on taking the game, but how about added physics to the game?
For those bzflaggers who have an Ageia PhysX card or one of the ATI/Nvidia setups.
Naturally it would be controllable(on/off) via the client/server.

#1 Is a small red circle , this is a `danger spot` I don't think i'd use it, but I could see it's usefulness for those who wanted to turn it on. #2 Is a circular aim instead of spuare aim I think this is a fantastic idea. I'm sure the devs will want the square to be default, but an option for a cir...

Re: AAARGGH!!!!
Way too complicated. Any flag that needs that much description is excessive. The base issue that PZ is pretty sucky would best be solved, IMHO, by simply removing it from the next version. It doesn't have to be complicated. It could be just as simple as expanding the PZ so that it becomes it's own ...

heh heh heh, alright alright. I'm just brainstorming here. :-) However it gets implemented, I hope that the developers put some sort of PZ expansion into place. Alot of the ideas-within-the-ideas are coming out, are pretty bad, some pretty good. But it seems that everybody agrees that an expa...

You don't need the zone flag to remain zoned. If there were going to be special zone only flags, then their should be a 'out of zone' flag like you said to get out of the Zone world. OR just drive back through a teleporter. Thinking about this, your comments helping out a bit has gotten me thinking...

I was just about to post in the thread about the PZ that I created the other day. Grace, your comments gave me an idea on how to modify/change PZ........ When you pickup a PZ flag, that is what would put you into the phantom zone. The flag itself would be an auto-zoning flag, you'd pick it up and th...

A very fitting punishment for their disloyalty to whoever might have been their team members. :-) The only problem with that is that rogues are not a team. They can act that way if they work out some sort of agreement in-game, but that's not how it's intended. Sometimes rogue geno is good, but some...

Why not just drop the zone flag once zoned? You don't need the zone flag to remain zoned. If there were going to be special zone only flags, then their should be a 'out of zone' flag like you said to get out of the Zone world. OR just drive back through a teleporter. A better implementation. Rememb...

Let's expand the Phantom Zone (pz)
Damm you BZFlag!!!!! I had to get up to post this idea otherwise I wasn't gonna get to sleep! hehehe Anyways, the PZ flag has somewhat limited usage. Most of the time you either use it to travel to another point on the map easily, or your average campers(and you know who you are.... damm you :-) ) w...

slow keyboard motion
I've lately been playing BZ with a gamepad, but the slow motion button (as is usually represented by pressing the "a" key) doesn't affect anything but the keyboard. I'm not sure if this is an 'issue' per se, or if this belongs in the enhancements folder. When I wanna snipe I'm getting tire...

Re: serverlist enhancement
Perhaps everything gets old after a while, but for some maps it takes a LONG WHILE. For instance, some people (myself included) would play the silvercat maps Overlord and Babel day after day for many months. Personally I would not like to leave it up to a computer to decide when it is that I will g...

Re: Standalone BZflag
Everything here is possible, except more than one player on a computer. Just get 7 computers like me that can run bzflag at, at least 25fps, and then you can kick tail, and you can't see each others screen LOL, I only own one computer. Having 7 of them would get pretty expensive. 7 monitors, 7 sets...

Re: serverlist enhancement
Isn't there a small colored star next to the server name to help you? Yes, there is, but that's not my point. The colored stars are actually very helpful. My point is not so much for more obvious server-type identification but rather to bring more servers up to the top of the list to attract more p...

serverlist enhancement
When you search for servers, the list is displayed in order from those which have the most players to least by the listserver. Which is fine. But all the servers show up in one list.......... In other words, have the servers put into their own lists. CTF in one list, rabbit hunt in another list, and...

Standalone BZflag
Here's what I mean. Have a very easy way for maps to be downloadable(if said owners of such maps don't have a problem with it of course) via the bzflag client and be able to choose the amount of bots in them, for practice purposes. Or even better, have BZflag configurable so that you can have multip...
