You don't need SDL.h to build the client, its glx.h you need.

Ducktape, check you have dma enabled on the drive containing your music (as root 'hdparm -d /dev/hd?' )
What player are you using?
Do you use esd or artsd?
Are you swapping? (run this,

Code: Select all

sleep 180;free ~/free.log
whilst running play bzflag with music for 5 minutes, then post ~/free.log)

Assuming you use linux, take out the "emulate3buttons" option of xorg.conf or unmap button 2 as 'drop flag'.

Nearly, you want ln -s /Applications/blender-2.42-darwin-8.7.1-i386/Blender.app/Contents/MacOS/.blender/scripts ~/.blendscripts and then ls ~/.blendscripts should show the standard scripts. Once you can do that set your python path to /Users/legolas/.blenderscripts Check the special mac bits on the ...

Yeah, I've had that for years under linux, if you can hunt down a copy of Qjoypad (and make it compile) then I'll hunt down my patch that makes it play nicely in BZflag, deal?

Re: Day 2

but am still confused about setting correct paths for it I read the readme, and it does seem similar to *nix here $ echo 'export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin' >>/etc/profile should fix the svn paths for all people and $ echo 'export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin' >>~/.bashrc will do it for just you, but y...

I spent a lot of time on IRC with A-Delusion, JeffM2501 and A_Temporal_Distraction, for which I thank them, and have managed to get together, fairly good, install and setup instructions for the scripts on Mac now. These can be found on the BZWiki Tools page along with some extra downloads you may ne...

I just checked, and Blender doesn't understand ~. You have just brought the point up though that there is no failsafe when blender cannot load standard textures. (more work) Replace the ~ with the full path and delete bzflag/BZconfig.pyc Restart Blender and it should work. That has brought up the ot...

Once you get the basic control of Blender down, it seems as if you can control Blender by just thinking about it - it's instinctive. That's one of the best descriptions I've heard of the Blender UI. After a short while it is instinctive, it's like when you started to play Tekken and couldn't do the...

That was the point of including the exception of 'kill to drop bad flag only' servers, on most though it would just present an annoying challenge.

Thinking of all teh 40 flags that exist there is no 'gun jam' (ie can't shoot while I have this flag)
Obviously this would screw any server running drop bad flag on kill (only), but it is an obvious flag, any reason why it isn't there?

When the scripts were written originally it did everything from python, run the server, rotate the maps, add the robots, kick people asking to be admin/cop. Then I split it into two, one to run the server and one to do the rest, mainly because I had some dodgy nvidia drivers at the time and whenever...

Good point.

rotate.sh should be run first, this starts the server and logging etc, then bzwrap
bzrobot doesn't need to be run, as it is run by the wrapper script when needed.

EDIT:I just tested he patch on the 2.0.8 sources, seems to work ok with that too.
