I've always thought that having the radar as big as possible is essential to playing. As you can see on the screenshot, my radar isn't very opaque and I changed the bullet-lenths in the .cfg to be quite long on the radar, which is helpful for dodging. My mousebox is set to 25 (12 is max. in GUI, nee...

I can get around 60-90 on a crowded map like MissileWar2. During a GU match I usually have around 200. Anything below 30 gets a little tough to play on.

Also, when taking screenshots of your map, it's usually good to be in Observer mode. That way you can take some from a better perspective. In order to move around freely while your in observer mode, hit F8 until you get the option "Roaming". You can use shift+up/down to move up or down and...

Sorry for misreading the question.

This doesn't work for all actions though, and fire + jump is one of them. :)

Talk about not reading...

register HERE: http://bzsoccer.bzleague.com/index.php?link=register
Once you join a team you can have matches against others. There are no fixed times.
I'd also suggest reading the "Rules" and "FAQ" sections on the site.

But I Still I see people with high lag, that are pretty good.
You must've misunderstood my statement. Players use other people's (non)existant lag as an excuse for losing.

at freesound (if anyone thinks this license won't be compatible with a bzflag release, please speak up)
When I was working on my sound-pack, JeffM linked me to that site, saying the licenses are good and suitable for a release on BZBB. You should be good. :)

luckers are a bad influence on the game imo, always getting more points than they deserve, or their skills would justify.
Thing is, luck isn't everlasting, unless they're cheating ;).
Sometimes even you have a good day and get some lucky shots. Doesn't mean your a bad player ;)

2. can't decide which is worse, so i'll count them all: luckers, campers, flag shoppers, individualists (on ctf)...meh
How does being lucky make you a bad player?

2. players that constantly use "lag","jitter" or "luck" as an excuse for losing On the flipside, if I send someone a 'ns' for a good kill and they send back a 'luck' they kudos for admitting it. You've gotta point there. :) I was talking about, say a league match. One ...

I would be either reworking the current stock sounds or generating new ones from scratch That way you can be sure of releasing it here. While I was doing my own, I noticed that keeping almost all of the sounds at the same length, is essential. Having a laser, that's about 2 seconds longer, can get ...

Oh, and if there's any need for someone to tweak/balance/rework/replace/etc the stock sounds based on user feedback or whatever, I'd be willing to work on that, too. If your were to do this and release it on the forums, be sure that the .waves you used have the right licenses. I made a custom sound...

You can hunt the tank. Also, if its a moving one, a pair of treads appearing out of nowhere is kinda a DEAD giveaway. So are bullets coming out of nowhere..... Once you feel comfortable with that you could move on to a 3D Modeler such as Wings3D or Blender
