Are we talking about the standard public server team mates, or league team mates? There's a decisive difference.

Are you saying your allowing other teams to post here about their teams? You might get alot (or none at all) who will want to join, but if you want to find a GU team it's good to have an active one, with active members. Some players will join GU only because they heard about it and never come back ...

I honestly can't see the ingenuity of these maps. I mean, they're random maps with a couple colored boxes, but I guess that qualifies these days. I just don't quite see the point in something like this.

Multiple team flags are often used for game modes like HTF. You spawn, find one of your own team flags and try and cap.

I'd go for Satu's and I also like the colors in #2. I'd probably end up only buying a t-shirt.

What other effect would that flag have? Just normal shots that only kill enemies? How about just not shooting your teammates? I think that'd be a whole lot easier.

I tend to scroll waaaaay down the list to find ones that have only a few players, rather than immerse myself in an epic battle. You'll have to compile it for yourself. It's not that hard and there are plenty of threads that explain how to compile plugins.

These days, I only play because of the GU League. I've practically lost interest in all the other public maps or servers. There's a certain challenge that comes with the league, that has kept so many people and myself hooked.

I like the point on learning how to make plugins and how they actually function. I'm speaking for someone who has never gone into that direction at all so this might be a good and interesting start. Nice work.

Usually the server will provide some information on rules etc. Read the server message when you join or try /help rules or something similar.

The first part of making a new and successful league, is having a map that meet those requirements. Currently I don't see any map that qualifies.

I personally think this isn't such a good idea. You may have noticed that there really aren't enough players around to accommodate all these leagues. Maybe you could be more specific about which servers you are trying to join? It could be that you have been trying to connect to some league servers which require you to be in a special usergroup to spawn or talk on the server. So when you try to spawn, the server automatically disconnects you.
