I've left off the server specifics intentionally. This is more of a plea for other server owners to not do this.ZE BOZZ wrote:Which server?

If people didn't know, Murielle was AliceD's little sister. Both were awesome people and will be greatly missed! If possible please consider a donation to your local Cystic Fibrosis foundation (for Alice) and/or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation (for Murielle). It's a sad day for the world!

FYI there is a timestamp option that can be added to the config file: -ts you get a line like this in the log 2009-02-25 19:49:35: MSG-COMMAND 20:temporal distraction banlist Writing the log to a file can be done by using >> after your start command bzfs -conf ./your.conf >> /path/to/logfile.txt or ...

Re: Phantom Zone tweak
I actually think this would detract from the flag. It's pretty limited now and generally a throw-away flag - but sometimes you can get a good kill with it. I like to get zoned and shoot at regular tanks for a couple minutes like a fool - then quietly as I can get unzoned, but don't drop the flag - s...

Re: IDENTIFYING MYSELF
The folks that tell you to press F12 as joking with you - as Bambi says that's the "quick exit" key. If the message appears only occasionally, then it's most likely an issue with the global authorization system - which has been just a little flaky lately. Usually you can bypass this system...

If what you say is true, then you need to delete the game client you have, download and install a fresh one.

This already has been implemented as a -badwords argument. There is no code reuse needed, you can use the same file that is provided for a server, or make your own. To view the example bad word files, please look at the multilingualSwearList.txt and simpleSwearList.txt files in BZFlag's trunk misc ...

Drawing problem with newly installed client.
I asked one of the regulars on Two Tanks to install a new client, and now she has a problem with the way the maps are being drawn. She calls it "exploding textures" - see the attachment. Here's the version string of the client: [Alice D->] Version: 2.0.10.20071212-MAINT-linux-gnu-SDL I don...

I'd like a zipper-hoodie as well, but I've missed the pre-order a couple times. Could you leave the pre-order open until you get 50 orders? If you ...

Re: Slides are now available.
I have yet to take a look at the slides, but already got a question. :) You said you demonstrated BZFlag showing a GU-match. May I know who played in that match? If you can remember? One of the slides is of some sample chat that is quite entertaining and has some familiar names. http://img228.image...
